Our Program

  • NFF provides an accessible facility that meets the needs of persons with neurological diseases and is the only facility of its kind serving North Texas/Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) Metroplex.
  • NFF collaborates with medical professionals and actively participates in clinical trials and neurological research.
  • Our facility serves as an educational training site for healthcare students, offering opportunities for internships and capstone projects.
  • These programs provide students with direct, hands-on experience working with individuals affected by neurological conditions. This allows them to apply their academic knowledge with practical application in a real-world clinical environment.
  • We host adaptive recreational activities—such as adaptive bowling—that bring together our members, university student interns, and community partners, including physical therapy clinic staff and students, for inclusive and engaging events that promote social connection, teamwork, and overall well-being.
  • We are proud to have been selected as the 2017 Circle of Care Facility by Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation.
  • Financial assistance is available for members with low income.
  • The NeuroFit Gym is spacious and functional, with easy access for walkers, wheelchairs, power chairs – and caretakers. We have a wide range of adaptive exercise equipment to help members achieve their fitness and functional goals.

Our Members

  • We serve all people in the DFW Metroplex, and some come from different cities and states.
  • We have served over thousands of members over the years; we currently have 75+ of whom attend regularly.
  • Most members join after their medical insurance notifies them that they are no longer eligible for rehabilitation coverage, and they have no affordable means to continue their efforts to restore what they have lost.
  • The majority of our members with one or two exceptions have some degree of paralysis though some may not be evident by sight.
  • Our members’ diagnoses range from stroke to SCI to TBI; currently, we have over 20 different diagnoses at our facility.
